The DPO Centre has announced it has recruited six new employees to its team as it continues to build on its impressive track record of 79% growth for the 2020 calendar year, which includes the entire Covid-19 period. The DPO Centre has grown significantly and profitably over the past year brought about by an ever-expanding client list that recently surpassed the 400 mark.
With privacy and data protection becoming ever more significant business areas, partly linked to Covid-19 and Brexit, the DPO Centre has recruited a further five Data Protection Officers (DPOs) from around the country to help clients with the monitoring of internal compliance, advising on data protection obligations, and acting as a contact point for data subjects and supervisory authorities. An overview of their experienced and skilled team can be found on their website.
Rob Masson, CEO, The DPO Centre said “I am delighted we have been able to recruit such stand out DPOs. With Brexit and Covid-19 many companies are facing increased pressure and scrutiny around data protection and privacy issues. Our DPOs ensure our clients are well prepared for what lays ahead. Their experience and knowledge ensure the DPO Centre continues to innovate and remain the leader we have become in our field.”
The new hires follow the appointment of its first non-executive board of directors* in August last year.
Rob Masson continues “Data protection is one of the fastest growing areas of business in the UK and Covid-19 has placed it firmly at the top of the agenda for most organisations. It is vital organisations understand their exposure to data and privacy risk as it impacts every part of their business from employees, to clients, partners and wider stakeholders.”
To further support this fantastic growth, the DPO Centre is also now looking to expand its back office team by creating further new roles, for talented individuals to fill. These include Head of Marketing, HR Manager, Principal Program Manager and Client Account Manager.
